About a week ago --- between rainy days --- the wife, mascot and I took a couple hours in the midday on a Sunday to venture over to Valley Forge National Park. They have a little creek that runs through the park with about 2 miles of easy-access wild
brown trout water. Bonus points are scored because it's only about 25
minutes away from my abode.
I caught three browns in an hour of fishing. None of the fish were large, but I don't care too much about that on a day like the one spent in the park. Instead, our afternoon provided a nice picnic spot, a lovely time in pseudo-nature, easy access and a short trip to fishy water. All-in-all, it's not a bad little wild stream to know about.
... And it beats yard work.
